The MSWA recently named Jani Palmer the Women’s Wrestling Director for the state of Maryland.  Jani brings an undeniable enthusiasm as well as passion to grow the sport of wrestling for existing female wrestlers and female athletes who want to try themselves in the greatest sport on earth.

Jani (Jay-nee) comes to us from a Judo background and has traveled in the last 6 months to Fargo, ND for the USA Wrestling Girls Nationals, attending the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO for Coaches Education as well as Florida for the NWCA’s first Coaches Education for Women athletes.

Jani has come back to Maryland on a mission and has organized free practices at 2 pm every Sunday at Bowerhouse, 7311 Grove Rd, suite D, Frederick MD, and is open to all ages and experience levels.  US National Team Coach Willie Madison, Maryland HS State Qualifier Monica Hovermale, 4xFargo National Champion Nicole Woody, 2xOlympian Kerry McCoy, and many more will be special guest clinicians for the ladies.

She is also in the process of putting together women’s dual teams as well as creating new events in the state of Maryland for women.
