USA WRESTLING PRESS RELEASE
The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions are on the front lines in the battle to beat cancer and are dedicated each and every day to pursuing this important cause.
We appreciate your participation in this tournament and hope you can further support this event by providing a donation towards Hopkins’ critical efforts to fight this disease and its devastating impact on so many people around the world.
While cancer affects so many around the world, its impact is felt closer to home, including by those who remain committed to supporting our wrestling community.
Robert Brams, a long time member of the local wrestling community was diagnosed with and operated on at John’s Hopkins in 2015 for a brain tumor and will be treated at Hopkins and will fight the battle against this disease for life.
A former wrestler and youth wrestling coach, Robert has been a long-time supporter of the wrestling community as legal counsel to USA Wrestling in its efforts to bring wrestling back into the Olympics, by serving on the National Board of the Wrestlers in Business Network, by Chairing the Advisory Board of Wrestling to Beat the Streets, DC and as father of a former St. John’s wrestling captain.
Please help support the effort to win this important battle against cancer by participating in this wrestling tournament and by making a donation to John Hopkins as provided below.
This tournament and fundraiser is supported by the many generous sponsors and donors that have already contributed to the fight by Johns Hopkins and others to beat this disease, including Robert’s many friends with the law firm of Greenberg Traurig.
St. Johns is a member of the Under Armour School Program, and Under Armour clothing will be available at the event concession stand.
