USA Wrestling card required.
Cards can be purchased at www.usawmembership.com for $35 or at the door
for $38.
Weigh-ins
Greco Weigh-in – 7:30 to 8:30am
Wrestling starts – 9:00am
Freestyle Weigh-in – 11:00 to 12:00
Wrestling starts- 1:00pm
* One weigh-in, if competing in both styles GR & FS.
Weight Classes
Madison for Kids and Open; Straight weights for Cadet and Junior
Cadet- 88, 94, 100, 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145, 152, 160, 170, 182, 195, 220, 285
Junior- 100, 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145, 152, 160, 170, 182, 195, 220, 285
* You are encouraged to compete at the weight you intend to wrestle at Fargo.
While changes may be made, you are only guaranteed a spot on the team at the
weight you wrestle.
Kids
Born in 1998 through 2005 (Kids divisions may be combined but age will not vary
by more than one year of birth)
Cadet
Born in 1996 or 1997 (Please see separate Cadet training schedule)
Junior
Contestants must be enrolled in and regularly attending high school during the
‘11-’12 school year and must have been born on or after September 1, 1992.
Open
Post High School
Rules
The freestyle event qualifies participants to compete for Fargo expense
reimbursement in accordance with the MSWA guidelines. International Greco /
Freestyle.
Tournament is double elimination. MSWA Pairing system will be used and
opponents will be determined by blind draw.
Uniforms
Singlets are preferred but not required. Headgear is mandatory for Kids.
Awards
Medals for the top three place winners in each weight class. A trophy will be
awarded to the “Most Fall/Least Time” in each age division in Freestyle.
Concessions
Concession stand will be open all day.

May 12th – MSWA Championships at McDonogh
May 12th – Team Application and $250 non-refundable deposit are due
May 18-20 Northeast Regionals at Bloomsburg, PA INFO LINK
May 31st – TEAM MARYLAND Order Form and final payment due
May 31 – June 2 FILA Cadet Nationals – Akron, OH INFO LINK
June 9 & 10 – East Coast Junior Duals
June 12 -16 – Cadet National Duals, Daytona Beach
June 16 to July 11- National Team Training at American Univ; U/MD; Navy; Kolat

Must participate in 9 of the 12 training dates
July 13th – Leave for Fargo
July 22th – Return Home from Fargo
Any parent desiring to travel with the National Team to and from Fargo must see
Mr Hicks or Mr Adleberg on May 12th and have a deposit of $400 to hold the
airline ticket.
The cost for Fargo will include the following:
1) Round Trip transportation cost to Fargo, North Dakota.
* Required of all wrestlers, includes airfare and bus transportation.
2) Full Room and Board at the tournament.
* Required of all wrestlers, not optional.
There will be optional order forms at the State championships and these need to
be filled out that day and returned with deposit so we can order the Greco and/or
Freestyle entry forms, t-shirts, shorts, singlets, jackets, bags,etc.
TRAINING CAMPS
Fees – to be paid directly to the venues of choice.
(9 days required)
• Kolat – June 22-24 (with Pat Santoro as well)
• USNA – June 25-28
• American Univ. – July 1-2 (tentative)
• REQUIRED OF ALL TEAM MEMBERS:
U/Md – July 8 – July 11
