ALL DETAILS UPDATED WITH 2017 INFORMATION (as of 2/25/2017)

The Maryland National Team has one of the most extensive off season programs in the country, including weekly training, competitions and clinics, preparation camps, all designed to prepare wrestlers for end of summer competition. The benefits are seen far beyond the summer months however, into the winter at the Maryland State Championships and into the seasons ahead.

Both Olympic Gold Medalists Kyle Snyder and Helen Maroulis participated in our program!

91 All Americans over the last eight years have been obtained by the Maryland National Team at the USA Wrestling Freestyle and Greco National Championships in Fargo. This is the pinnacle of every wrestler’s career, to participate and be involved in the best event of the year with the top wrestlers from nearly every state fully represented.  If you want to be recruited by a college coach, wrestlers MUST GO TO FARGO!

In addition, 26 All Americans have been obtained by the Maryland Kids National Team (age 14 and under) at the Kid’s FS/GR Nationals during that same period.

Please read all information below (carefully) about how to become involved and participate in this outstanding program.  The program is designed and encouraged for all ages and skills to participate! Any questions, please contact mswaadmin@gmail.com

68 of the 80 eligible NCAA Division I All Americans (“AAs”) at some point in their high school career competed in Fargo (10 weights, 8 AAs each). That’s an amazing 85.00%.

61.25% of those 68 wrestlers obtained AA status in Fargo. That’s impressive, but what’s even more impressive is that nearly 40% of those 68 NCAA AAs/Fargo participants did NOT AA in Fargo. This means that 26 of 68 NCAA AAs  who previously competed in Fargo did not place in Fargo!

75% of our National Team members have gone on to college to wrestle…list is being compiled.
